Randy Moss Trade Rumors

The often rumored Randy Moss trade to Green Bay is back in the spotlight after a Boston Hearld article that speculated the deal could happen today. The proposed deal would send Moss, TE Courtney Anderson, and a conditional 2009 pick to Green Bay for Aaron Rodgers and a 7th rd pick in 2007. A popular internet rumor site has been speculating this deal could be happening for a while now. This particular version was posted on various fan forums yesterday afternoon and now seems to have a life of its own.

The War Room Report doubts that Green Bay would trade their 2005 1st rounder, Aaron Rodgers, without getting more compensation. The trade may still happen, but this version may be an instance of the Boston Herald lifting a rumor from a message board, then seeing it spin out of control.

Green Bay GM Ted Thompson and CEO Bob Harlan have both dismissed the reports.

If the trade does go down in this format, it would likely mean that Calvin Johnson would be the choice for Oakland at #1, pushing JaMarcus Russell to Cleveland at 3, or even later.

Stay tuned for the latest!
