I'm a bolt fan since 1980 and I know Turner was a 5th round pick but he plays
like a 1st. He would put up big numbers but well L.T. And A.J. Smith is the man and
won't or better not get anything less than a first round and keep the 30th pick. And it
looks like the Titans might just do that with the 19th pick. Go Bolts!

I think that a first roung for turner is too much for the pack to give up. Don't get me wrong he's good just not worth a first round. And, TT knows this the trade wont go for a first while green bay has a decent RB Mornecy who can take the load and ease in the rookie like the saints with Bush

A 2nd round pick is what will likely net Turner before or on draft day. Bills, Titans or Pack will get him. Smith may be turned off just a 'bit by Bills/Titans as AFC teams.

Nobody will give up a 1st rounder outright for him. A swap of 1st rounders may be a possibility as well. AJ Smith tendered him high so he wouldn't have to take a low 2nd rounder from the two NY teams. Of course NYs filled their RB needs now. You think Smith would be stupid to take a high 2nd rounder? I'd say he's stupid to keep him for a year as a backup and let him walk for free. NO WAY TURNER'S A CHARGER THIS YEAR. GET REAL! Even AJ Smith's comments have finally stated as much.

I'm with Reg on this. Michael Turner, who will be an outstanding starter with whatever team he eventually goes to in the NFL, is worth more than a 2nd round pick. A.J. Smith is not that dumb.

Turner is a proven quantity, whereas there are no guarantees that a college back taken in the first round will pan out.

It's the other teams that need Turner. The Chargers can keep him this year on their way to the Super Bowl.

Or they can switch first round picks with the Packers and get an additional draft pick in the deal.

There are also rumors that Green Bay will swap first rounders with San Diego as Randy mentioned.

I agree with Randy that Ted Thompson is unlikely to give up too many first day picks.

As far as the value is concerned - let's remember that WR Javon Walker was traded from Green Bay for just a 2nd round pick, as were Daunte Culpepper and several others. If the Chargers don't trade Turner, next year they will be left with nothing.

Thanks for the comments all and I am glad you enjoy the site.

Not sure the Pack gives up a pick in this scenario without getting one back. TT loves the picks. I can see swapping firsts with San Diego. At 30 the Packers can still get a top WR or TE Zach Miller, or possibly one of the three big at safty (most likely S-Texas Giffin?)
With 3 holes to fill (S, RB, Deep Threat WR) I just dont see the pack giving up a top 3 pick. They need players.

So "IF" the Packers cannot secure a RB with their 1st round pick, they will trade their second for Turner????

Okay I am not really understanding the concept, let me give a first round pick for an unproven college talent who one either suffers from character issues, or two had one great freshman season and has suffered some injuries during his tenor at the OKDOKAY ranch. I’m not computing help me?

P.S. love your site by the way. I hope the rest of the Fantasy Football world stays away, so I can have all your information to myself!!!!
