C2 - Samson Satele, Hawaii |

NFL.com
Profile |
Height: 6-2
Weight: 278
40 yard dash: 5.26
Grade: 73 |
Strengths:
Samson Satele is a pass blocking extraordinaire, coming out of the
passing frenzy that is the University of Hawaii. Samson Satele
possesses above average awareness and instincts and it helps having
experienced playing offensive tackle, offensive guard, and center
during his collegiate career. He has that mean streak that is
fundamental with most centers. Many scouts have compared him to
Kevin Mawae, and the War Room Report believes that this is an
adequate comparison.
Weaknesses:
As good as Samson Satele is in the passing game, he may have his
difficulties in the running game in the National Football League. He
has virtually no run-blocking experience and may not have the
mobility and quickness that scouts look for to be considered a
“complete” interior offensive line prospect. Weighing in at under
300 pounds, Samson Satele may have to bulk up at the next level , or
he will have extreme difficulties keeping massive defensive tackles
out of the offensive backfield. Samson Satele could also use some
work on using his hands to best assist his blocking technique.
Overall:
Samson Satele would be best suited to stick to one position in order
to fulfill his full potential in the National Football League.
Versatility is great, but coming from an offense that passed over
90% of the time, Samson Satele needs to work at the craft of
becoming a full-time center in the NFL. Fellow center prospect, Ryan
Kalil, is as excellent a prospect at the center position that the
NFL has seen in some time, but Samson Satele has virtually the same
potential. I would expect to see Samson Satele get drafted sometime
in round three. |
