OLB6 - Stewart Bradley, Nebraska Stewart Bradley

NFL.com Profile

Height: 6-4
Weight: 254
40 yard dash: 4.69
Grade: 70
Strengths:
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have always produced excellent defensive talent from their “black shirts” tradition and Stewart Bradley is just the latest in the long line of top tier prospects. Stewart Bradley is strong as an ox, and will be a great addition to any team trying to improve in their run defense. Stewart Bradley has a motor that just won’t quit, and with his incredible strength he gets off of blocks instantaneously and that allows him to rack up the tackles. Stewart Bradley is an intelligent football player, who would thrive in just about any defensive scheme in the National Football League.

Weaknesses:

He isn’t as quick as a number of the other top outside linebacker prospects in the 2007 NFL Draft. Stewart Bradley does not have great top tier speed, and that causes him to be somewhat of a liability in pass defense. Stewart Bradley is not a “ball hawk” and rarely forces the opposition into a turnover.

Overall:

Stewart Bradley is a prospect who is seeing his name thrown around more and more often as we approach the draft, and I expect that his stock will continue to rise up until April 28th. He doesn’t possess that excellent 40 time that scouts love to salivate over, however, he plays quicker than he is timed. Stewart Bradley just has uncanny strength at the outside linebacker prospect, and that is what is going to get his name called much earlier than originally expected during the draft, I expect a possible late 2nd round selection, if not early-mid 3rd round.
