Virginia LB Clint Sintim Scouting Report
Height: 6-3, Weight: 254

Strengths: A complete football player with a lot of experience in different roles...ideal size for an NFL SAM backer...good natural athlete who excels at rushing the passer, with his hand down or standing up...really hard worker that is always around the ball…does a great job shedding tacklers...has some experience playing coverage and can make plays in space...terrific instincts and always chasing the ball...

Weaknesses: Is not going to be able to handle most receivers or tight end in man coverage...needs to improve his ball skills...relatively average long speed...plays a little too upright at times...may not have sideline to sideline speed...

Overall: Clint Sintim is one of the most productive players in the 2009 NFL Draft and fits a variety of schemes. At Virginia, he played with his hand down as an end and standing up as a linebacker. He totaled 20 sacks his last two seasons at Virginia and is one of the better linebackers at getting after the QB. While many prospects in the draft have to be projected to a 3-4 rush OLB role, Sintim played the position well at Virginia. He also could contribute in a 4-3 difference as a SAM backer, with his natural strength. He is really a complete linebacker and should start in the NFL for a long time.
