Georgia Tech DT Vance Walker Scouting Report
Height: 6-2, Weight: 275, 40 Yard Dash: 5.33

Strengths: Excellent quickness in short space with an explosion off the line of scrimmage...understands leverage well for a collegiate...tough and physical player...high motor player who was a team leader...decent bull rusher...has good upper body strength...

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal size...frame is closed to maxed out and lacks the strong lower body to anchor versus the run...probably only an average natural athlete...may struggle in the phone booth versus top offensive guards...played on a top defensive line that used a lot of exotic packages to get to the QB, so not as good as his numbers indicate...may be a bit limited with scheme...

Overall: Coming off a huge junior year Vance Walker looked like potentially the top defensive tackle in the class, but he struggled a bit as a senior. He projects as a solid NFL player, but lacks the frame or athleticism to develop into a star. He was a two time First Team All ACC player, but may be the type that was a better college player than an NFL player. He projects as a 4-3 defensive tackle at the NFL level and is a low risk, low reward type pick.
